Mo Abudu becomes the First African Ever to Chair the International Emmy Awards Gala

CEO of EbonyLife Media, Mo Abudu chaired the 47th International Emmy Awards Gala! She is the first African, male or female, to land the coveted role, following her appointment as the first African director of the Academy.

The move signals a change in the opportunities opening up for television content producers on the continent. Speaking at the gala, Mo Abudu said, “These partnerships are the first of their kind between Hollywood studios and a Nigerian television company. We are happy to be at the forefront of forging these new partnerships because it is truly about sharing our local stories with a global audience – stories that are historical, authentic and progressive.”

Stand-up comedian and actor Ronny Chieng, a correspondent on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah and star of Crazy Rich Asians, hosted the gala, while businesswoman, philanthropist, author and former model Iman presented the Directorate Award to CNN Chief International Anchor, Christiane Amanpour. Actor Conleth Hill, known worldwide for his role as Lord Varys in Game of Thrones, presented the Founders Award to the show’s creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.

Mo Abudu’s high profile guests included Zain Asher, News Anchor, CNN International; Shuli Adebolu, Hon. Commissioner for Tourism, Arts & Culture; Abiola Oke, CEO OkayAfrica; Gbenga Akinnagbe, actor (The Wire); to name a few. The visit was supported by Lagos State Government.

“Nigeria needs to learn from Ghana” – Tacha says as she flaunts Ghana on social media

Big Brother Naija star, Tacha, left Nigeria for Ghana on Friday, November 29th, to meet some of her dedicated fans in the country and also spend some quality time with them over there.

She has since been giving updates about her visit to Ghana on her social media since her arrival. The resounding welcome she received and the honor she has been getting.

But it’s not only Ghanaians that are stunned at Tacha, the reality TV star is also stunned at the serenity and orderliness in the country which she stated that Nigeria can not compete with.

She recorded a video in traffic while in Ghana, where the orderliness by road users stunned her so much that she declared Ghana better than Nigeria in terms of orderliness.

Kenneth Omeruo posts first photo of Flavour’s 3rd daughter

Flavour welcomes a second child with his baby mama, former beauty queen Sandra Okagbue, in November 2018 and since then, they have kept the baby away from the media.

No pictures, no updates, they both went silent over the child is now a proud father of three kids as Sandra Okagbue welcomes third child.

According to several blogs, the baby they welcomed was a son, but they were wrong. The baby was a girl and she’s all grown now.

They have been keeping their second child away from the media, but footballer Omeruo has unknowingly shared photo of the baby.

Omeruo who shared the photo while sharing photos from his daughter’s 1st birthday, has now deleted the photo.

Apparently, Sandra might have called his attention to the fact that they are not ready to share photos of the child online, hence he took it down.
